Helena Wijewardhana Balika School is one of the finest schools in Sri Lanka, with a strong intellectual heartbeat. It is a girl’s school and located in Kelaniya. It was established in 1911 and Provincial Government School providing primary and Secondary education.

After 110 years of its fruitful existence, it has grown into a big school with about 1800 students and with more than 65 teachers, including staff taking care of various aspects of School with extracurricular activities.

The infrastructure of the schoolis excellent and it's being regularly updated. At present there are 46 classrooms. Besides these there is a well-equipped library, Science laboratory, Kids Learning Center, IT laboratory , First Aid unit , Sports room , Playground and Canteen with all facilities
